Q12: What are Far-Infrared Rays?
A12: Far-infrared Rays (FIR) are part of the sunlight spectrum which are invisible to the naked eye. It’s also known as biogenetic rays (between 6 to 14 microns). Biogenetics rays have been proven by scientists to promote the growth and health of living cells especially in plants, animals, and human beings.

Q13: What does the Iodine number mean?
A13: This is the key test for a carbon used primarily for water filtration. Also an American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) standard, the importance of this number is that it s a good indicator of how well the carbon will adsorb compounds and pollutants from the water. The testing is done by taking a known amount of powdered activated carbon and mixing it into a standard solution of Iodine and water. By measuring the remainder of the Iodine in solution, the amount of Iodine adsorbed can be determined. This value is expressed as milligrams of Iodine adsorbed per gram of activated carbon. The higher the number, the more chemical contaminants are removed.

Q14: What is ORP?
A14: ORP stands for Oxidation Reduction Potential also know as Redox Potential. ORP is measured using a voltage meter showing the reading in millvolts (mV). A neutral reading would be 0mV, an oxidizing substance would show a positive reading for example +300mV, and a reducing substance would have a negative reading such as -300mV. In the case of drinking water with a good ORP, anything with a reading below -200mV is good i.e. The lower the negative figure (<200mV), the stronger the potential to reduce oxidizing substances such as free radicals within the body.
